in addition to UTM / WGS84 based conversion to geodetic lat/lon a NAD27 based conversion would be nice. I am currently dealing with North American coordinates which are NAD27 Datum based (although UTM ...) I dont have the detailed information about borders, but for "Contiguous United States" a UTM <-> geodetic conversion should use the alternate ellipsoid.
