A collection of samples and reusable templates which demonstrates patterns, approaches and architectural ideas for the Java EE 5 and 6 platforms. All projects are created with Netbeans 6.5 / 6.7 and tested on Glassfish v2, v3 and partially on openEJB and JBoss 5. Check out also: http://java.net/projects/x-ray - an end-to-end Java EE 6 application.

In the next few years, computer and devices will offer a large variety of ways to interact with them, in addition to touching, gestures, voice and other modalities. The big challenge is how to make all these modalities work together. This is the aim of this project: develop a framework where meanings can be extracted from different modalities to make decisions that help the user interaction. This project is under development and needs your collaboration. You are welcome to contribute!

PUJ is an academic competition to promote the synergy between the academy goals and the market needs. The prize stimulates the students to submit their classwork projects to evaluation by IT experts - senior professionals who analyse the market potential of what the students are coding in the local universities. The prize was created in Brazil by Felipe Gaúcho but we expect a lot of JUG and other entities to adopt its format all over the world.

Rule Engine Support
It's important to emphasize that we are looking for the best solution, of course, but if it is open source will be even better ;-). We are motivated to contribute with a third-party open source project . . .

Rule Engine Support
One of the forms to infer meanings extracted from modalities data is defining and processing rules. A rule is a good instrument to represent assumptions, mainly when we have a domain of application. T . . .

What is the fastest way to communicate through a TCP/IP network?
Yeah. I agree that UDP is faster, but in the context of this project we do need integrity of data. The good thing about TCP/IP connection is that we can connect new modalities dynamically. But I still . . .

What is the fastest way to communicate through a TCP/IP network?
Hi Silveira, thanks for your contribution. I will consider it during the evaluation. The TCP/IP is a natural choice because I don't need to implement a form to guarantee the consistency of data. I agr . . .

What is the fastest way to communicate through a TCP/IP network?
Currently, we are using sockets to make two or more applications interchange data. Is a socket connection the fastest way possible to transfer data on a TCP/IP network? We need your opinion.
