Alice is a teaching tool that uses drag-and-drop style interaction to construct programs without syntax errors. Students create movies and games as a motivating context. 3D animation provides program visualization which aids students in understanding the execution and catching bugs. The third version of the system is under development which includes a smoother transition to programming in Java.

The JOGL project hosts the development version of the Java™ Binding for the OpenGL® API (JSR-231), and is designed to provide hardware-supported 3D graphics to applications written in Java. JOGL provides full access to the APIs in the OpenGL 1.5 - 3.0, 3.1, ES 1.x and ES 2.x specification as well as nearly all vendor extensions NOTE: nightly builds for solaris/x86 are temporarily unavailable...we are aware of the problem (a disk failure on our build machine).

This project provides help documentation, training tutorials, and release notes for Project Kenai, and creates community through mailing lists and forums. The users mailing list is a useful way to keep track of things and communicate (subscribe at http://kenai.com/projects/help/lists). The forums for Bugs, General, and UI are good places to discuss problems, report bugs, and ask for information.
