BTrace is a safe, dynamic tracing tool for the Java platform. BTrace can be used to dynamically trace a running Java program (similar to DTrace for OpenSolaris applications and OS). BTrace dynamically instruments the classes of the target application to inject tracing code ("bytecode tracing"). Tracing code is expressed in Java programming language. There is also integration with DTrace for the OpenSolaris platform.

EurekaJ is a Java Profiler with both a Java Agent and a Manager application to collect and view both live and historical data. The manager application will allow administrators to set up alert points and alert actions that will actively monitor selected java source code in order to monitor a running Java application both in Production and Test. EurekaJ is currently in early development with a first release schedules before the end of 2009. More information is available upon request.

BTrace profiling support
Well, the profiler is a highly specialized kind of aggregation. It can take only one key and calculates only the preset (and inevitable) runtime metrics. On the other hand the Aggregations support is r . . .

BTrace 1.1 Maven artifacts
Sorry, they weren't generated. I've just uploaded the 1.1.3 version into the same maven repository - it takes some time to propagate, though.

Running BTrace against GFv3
Juliano Viana came up with a wonderfully simple url: how-to for using BTrace with GlassFish v3. You just need to disable internal GF monitoring by executing "..code.."
