Hello, I'm interested in Alice and want to take it to schools here in Brazil. How could I translate the program to Portuguese? |

alice3 is being designed and implemented to heavily leverage internationalization / localization (i18n). the plan is to allow people to provide localizations not just for the Alice user interface, but also for the rendering of the Java language (if, while, et cetera) and the APIs (class names, method names, parameter names, et cetera). additionally, you will be able to leverage the "variant" field of your locale to make different translations... one for say college students and one for middle school students (if desired). if you are interested in providing a localization please contact me. my email address can be revealed by first typing my name into your favorite search engine (i just checked google and yahoo). by the way, the example i always use to describe my plans is the Brazilian form of Portuguese. ![]() thanks for the interest. |
