I didn't get a clear picture of the project from the description 1. Is the CloudTable web application supposed to let user create their own web applications 2. "without touching any code" does this imply that the application provides features / facilities to define structures enabling the control / UI of the web application. |

CloudTable will be a web application. The created "applications" will run inside CouldTable. There is no code generation for web applications. The created "applications" will just consist of tables and forms filling these tables. Let me give you an example: You want to maintain a list of your DVDs. You go to cloudtable.org (this is an example domain where CloudTable could be hosted) an click on "new table". You fill in the title and information about the colums. Then you have a table which stores your DVD collection. This table will have an automatically generated form which is used to add or edit entries. You will be able to define the rights other people have on your table (none/read/add/read+add/edit/admin). CloudTable is like a storage appliance (these little Home-NAS-Boxes), just with tables instead of folders. And it uses a database instead of a filesystem as backend. I hope, this makes it a bit more clearer. I'll try to set up a mockup soon. |

Do you mean like Google docs, where you can edit your documents and spread sheets; CloudTable will provide interface for creation of Tables? |
