Hi Peter, I saw your presentation at the Atlassian Summit for the integration with Confluence that you had running. It was very impressive. From your presentation you noted from this website we could download and install some the functionality you were talking about. Other members at the Summit and I were under the impression that these were Confluence plug-ins that we could install. After reading this site, I am reading about installing Glassfish server and other things. Our IT department will install plug-ins but when it comes down new software entirely that is a different story. I would propose it, but I am not a sys admin and can not get everything working nicely together. Just a random idea (aimed at anybody), maybe someone should create an 'image' that can be loaded into VMWare that already has this GlassFish + Confluence + DB all working well with each other so users to can test everything out before making expensive / time consuming proposals to upper management at companies. I know your setup goes far beyond Confluence. Just looking for guiadance I suppose since it is not an OOB plug-in for Confluence. |

Hi sorry for the late reply. The Community Equity Services requires an own deployment as it is an independent web service. For the Confluence integration you need to 1.) install the Community Equity services (open source) 2.) install the Confluence plugins (online, offlink sync plugin and the CeQ widget macro) The Confluence plugin for Communtiy Equity is not yet available. We should have a alpha/beta version available in August. |

Peter Do you have an update on the availability of the Confluence plugin for Community Equity? We are looking to implement Community Equity model within Orthopaedia.com and are trying to put in place some development milestones. Best regards Christian |

Christian - We have some delay with the Confliuence plugin as we are looking for a standard way on how to integrate activities from various web sites. Currently we are finalizing our specs (see http://wikis.sun.com/display/ceqdoc/Activity+Streams) and I hope we have a Confluence plugin available in the October timeframe. Peter |

You should be able to access the source code as you have "subscribed" to the CeQ project. Here is a blog post on how to install/run CeQ using Netbeans. http://blogs.sun.com/peterreiser/entry/communtiy_equity_kenai_and_netbeans Also please read http://kenai.com/projects/community-equity/forums/forum/topics/188-Installation#p3035 |
