Enigma is a Java class library and API to handle OpenPGP encryption and digital signatures in XML documents. It uses a slightly different metaphor to OpenPGP, which we find conceptually clearer, and it is intended to make high-level crypto and security code easier to understand. It was developed with a view to writing a distributed social network application underpinned by an OpenPGP web-of-trust.
