List of modules we plan to implement until February 2012
A module is implemented as Portlet conforming to the Java Portlet Specification.
Concept Suggestion Module
- Description: Suggests concepts for a given domain using automatically retrieved documents.
- Contact: Liqun W. (University of Münster)
- Details: FAQ (Installation, Versions, ...)
- Relevant Deliverables:
- Access to Source: http://kenai.com/projects/envision/sources/portal/show/portlets/ConceptSuggest-portlet
Discovery Module (Semantic Catalogue Module)
- Description: presents a search interface for both OGC attributes and semantic annotations of OGC Web Services.
- Contact: ioantoma, Iker L. (University of Innsbruck)
- Details: Description of the Discovery Portlet
- Relevant Deliverables:
- Access to source: http://kenai.com/projects/envision/sources/portal/show/branches/envision.discovery.gwt
Notification Module (Subscription Portlet)
- Purpose: Allows for subscribing to the current model to get notified about significant events.
- Developer: Henry M. (University of Münster)
- Details: FAQ (Installation, Versions, ...)
Resource Module
- Purpose: Allows to browse/search resources and context-dependent actions such as publishing/un-publishing.
- Developer: pajoma (University of Münster)
- Details: Description of the Resource Portlet
- Relevant Deliverables:
- Access to Source: http://kenai.com/projects/envision/sources/portal/show/portlets/resource-portlet
Uncertainty Module
- Purpose: displays uncertainty information of sensor observations retrieved from a SOS.
- Developer: Karthikeyan B. G.
- Details: FAQ (Installation, Versions, ...)
MapViewer Module
- Description: The MapViewer Portlet allows users to see cartographic data on a specific domain in a configured area. Supported data are OGC Webservices: WMS, WMS-T (WMS with a time extension), WFS and SOS.
- Contact: Florian Husson (BRGM)
- Details: FAQ (Installation, Versions, ...)
- Relevant Deliverables:
- Deliverable 2.3 / Section 4.6.3.1 & 5.3.1 (under release process)
- Access to Source: http://kenai.com/projects/envision/sources/portal/show/portlets/MapViewer-portlet
ChartViewer Module
- Description: The ChartViewer Portlet is used in association with the MapViewer Portlet. It is used to display observation data via SOS based Web Services.
- Contact: Florian Husson (BRGM)
- Details: FAQ (Installation, Versions, ...)
- Relevant Deliverables:
- Deliverable 2.3 / Section 5.3.2 (under release process)
- Access to Source: http://kenai.com/projects/envision/sources/portal/show/portlets/chartViewer-portlet
TimeController Module
- Description: The TimeController Portlet can only be used with the MapViewer Portlet. It allows the end user to control the display of a WMS-Time on the map, by choosing the time range of the data he wants to see.
- Contact: Florian Husson (BRGM)
- Details: FAQ (Installation, Versions, ...)
- Relevant Deliverables:
- Deliverable 2.3 / Section 5.3.3 (under release process)
- Access to Source: http://kenai.com/projects/envision/sources/portal/show/portlets/TimeController
Visual OntoBridge Module
- Description: In order to support efficient browse and search through resources and to enable efficient composition and execution of Web services, the resources need to be semantically annotated, i.e., interlinked with a set of domain-ontology elements. Formulating annotations in one of the formal languages is not a trivial task and requires specific expertise. OntoBridge allows the user to pose natural-language queries to retrieve ontology elements that serve as building blocks and thus ease the task of defining semantic annotations.
- Contact: Miha Grcar (JSI)
- Details: SpecOntoBridge
- Relevant deliverables:
- Deliverable D4.4 (available at M24)
