Hi folks,

I notice that the JavaFX project uses Jira and Kenai for issue tracking.

I think Jira is a vast improvement on Bugzilla so I was just curious to know if this project could also use Jira and if so why you decided to go with Bugzilla instead.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin-

Though I'm not part of the eplugin project, I will answer this question as the Community Manager of Kenai.

Jira is not yet available to the Kenai community at large - we're still in testing, and JavaFX has been an early tester for us. As I've said in our General Kenai Forums, Jira will be available publicly in January. At that point, project administrators will be able to choose between Bugzilla and Jira.

Thanks for your question man - I hope this clears things up for you.

Hi Jesse,

Thanks for the quick response.

I'm really glad you're going to be introducing Jira. Its a very good product. Expect a flood of projects switching in January.

BTW, best of luck with Kenai. It looks very promising.

Kevin
