Hi folks, Its really good to see this plugin is still alive and well. Olivier, thanks for pushing forward with it. Can anyone tell me what the plan is for a linux version of the plugin? The download page on the JavaFX site says that the plugin is only available for Windows and Mac. http://javafx.com/docs/gettingstarted/eclipse-plugin/index.jsp#downloadinfo. I've installed via Eclipse's normal Software Update feature, but I'm getting errors. I don't know if its because I'm running on Linux or if its because of problems with the plugin. Cheers, Kevin |

Hi Kevin, "what the plan is for a linux version of the plug-in" As described in the doc on javafx.com the plug-in is only available on Windows and Mac, but we plan to make it also available in the near future, before Solaris availability. There is currently no special dependency on platform, except for path separator character, which is already handled by the Mac version. We did not test the plug-in on the Linux platform however. So we don't support Linux in this version. We are really happy you raise bugs, and please do so for Linux platform error you get. We will then check further if the bugs raised against linux are truly linux dependent or more general. Cheers, Olivier. |
