Hi all,

I just release GIVE 2.2.2. It changes the following things:

  • Fixed "X-ray vision" bug: objects are no longer visible through walls.

  • Fixed "multi-room regions" bug: objects can now only be part of regions in the same room any more.

  • Fixed "initial orientation" bug: client now turns the camera in the direction specified by the world file when starting up.

  • Fixed "server crashes after tutorial" bug: the NLG server should now no longer crash with a concurrency exception after the tutorial ends.

  • "Back to base" task: if the matchmaker configuration file contains a clause "<back-to-base time='xxx' />", user must find back to starting room in xxx seconds after taking the trophy.

  • When loading a world, the matchmaker now checks that every object is physically in the room it is in logically, and quits with an error message if one doesn't. testworld3 updated to pass this test.

Notice that there is now also the method NlgSystem#logRegionReferenceAttempt, which we ask you to call every time your system tries to guide the user to a region outside of the current room.

As always, go get the current tools distribution (uploading to Kenai right now), and recompile your NLG systems with "mvn clean install".

Let me know of any bugs you find.

Cheers, Alexander.
