Web apps using JavaScript and Web DAV

Looking for some developers to develop example apps using Web DAV in this environment. The war file should be posted later today.

davclient.js is cool! I'm glad.to find your work on WebDAV + javascript.

Check out LimeBits. The Axis javascript library also supports WebDAV.

I should be posting a version soon. I like the LimeBits concept, similar to Zembly. My work is at a lower level more of a library one could use. I think users can build lots of apps based on WebDAV. WebDAV has some big advatages over S3.


  • API is simpler ( maybe too simple Smile )
  • You can browse the file system and see it very easily
  • Has a well understood file system model


It would be nice to have a File System Browser widget in LimeBits that allows one to browse a WebDAV file system. That owuld be a good starting point.
