| I just pushed the latest release, 0.2, and updated documentation on http://research.sun.com/projects/guestvm. This version is considerably more functional and can run Hadoop in standalone mode, amongst other things. |

Thanks! That's a timely update for me. I'm building a system to work with GuestVM right now and I was wondering if you have any recommendations about which versions of Xen to use. I like Solaris but wasn't able to get past its limited device driver support. Tentatively I'm starting with Debian 5.0 (lenny) which supplies Xen 3.2.0 (on linux 2.6.26). It would not be difficult to upgrade within the Debian universe to Xen 3.3.1 (on linux 2.6.30 (testing) or 31 (unstable)) and I gather not too hard to go all the way to the current Xen 3.4.1 (on linux 2.6.29 or eventually 31).
