Somehow, this has been at-it all morning. I can't seem to create a new forum topic in our project ICI-CECSD-JAVA. Even the Preview button in our project page (and here in the Kenai Forums) doesn't seem to work. I've previewed the error for the Preview button in Firebug, and it coughs-out an error here: And the Post throws an error here |
Cannot create a forum topic in my class' forum

Hi Sonny, I can create a post in your forum, but you are absolutely correct that the Preview button is broken. I'll file a critical bug for this right away. Please try the post creation again. I was able to do it just about two minutes ago. --jb The Project Kenai Team |

Hi JB, Thanks for looking this up. But the error is still there. For the Post Topic, i mean. ![]() I noticed somehow that after clicking the Post button, disregarding the HTTP 500, I'm somehow "logged-out", taking-note of the "Login" anchor at the top instead of a username. But after clicking any anchor, I'm "logged-in" again. I have cleared all cookies, logged-in to Kenai again against Opera 10, Chrome, and Firefox 3. Maybe it has something to do with my credentials versus yours? Being admin vs project admin? Anyway, that's just speculation from me. =PI've tried to reply to a post in our project forum http://ow.ly/sAan and it seems to work OK now. |

I've figured out where the error comes from: it's in the parser of the bbcode. BBCode I get from Hot Editor gives upper-case bbcode and ends-up as a server error. It would be nice if the forum Post would give a warning why the content is not allowed, or allow upper-case BBCode maybe sometime in the probable future. ![]() Anyway, thanks for keeping a close eye on this.

Thanks Sonny, Can you send me a sample of BBCode that is causing the error please? Just send it to the Kenai Admin address of: kenai-admin<at>sun.com We'll take a look at it right away. |

| The preview button seems to be broken so this is a regression. We'll fix it in a future revision. Thanks for the report. |
