| netbeans 6.8 osx xmpp/jabber/chat still doesnt seem to work for me. the login fails and says the authentication failed, but I can login here on the web just fine. |

Unfortunately my Mac is away (Apple are replacing the main logic board) so I can't try it myself, however before it died 6.8RC1 did work fine for me on OSX. I'm currently using 6.8RC1 on Linux (which is also working) but found 6.8RC2 to be virtually unusual. What version are you using? Peter |

There is a known bug that is most likely causing the issue behind this. It's reported under Netbeans in the issue: http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=176882 The bottom issue is actually a bug in the smack library used by NB. The link to the Smack bug database is also at the bottom of the NB issue report. |

same for me. I just updated netbeans with the new version ( NetBeans IDE 6.8 (Build 200912041610)) and everything works but the chat. It works on the site though.... In particular, i can login to kenai successfully, committ, checkout and create new project, but i am not able to chat : i get a link that say "go online", once pressed seems to load from the network but than it goes back to "go online". There is a project i created just to try to make my chat work called "chattest", feel free to join. BTW, I love kenai. |
