When I add a file to downloads to the OSUM project, the URL of the file doesn't work outside of Kenai. An example is http://kenai.com/projects/osum/downloads/1085/download. If you try this URL from a separate browser window or tab, you get an error page.

Thanks for letting us know, David. We will look into this. AIso created a JIRA issue to track this.

Please keep feedback and comments coming. Thanks for helping us to make the site better.

As a workaround, if you know the name of the file, you can create a link to download it like this:

http://kenai.com/downloads/osum/NameOfFile.extension

for example:

http://kenai.com/downloads/osum/Wonderland.pdf

That's what I used to link to my contents, as that what's Kenai download links redirect your browser to download from. It must look at the referer header or something like that, because as you say, using Kenai links directly fails. But those work Smile.

Hi David,

We have fixed this issue and deployed the code to production. Please let us know if you have any further issues on accessing download link directly.

Thanks,
