revision 5760 setup a swan web proxy (e.g. webcache.uk.sun.com:8080) open up ANY kenai page, you get: Status: 500 Internal Server Error Content-Type: text/html 500 Internal Server Error (I am testing with http://kenai.com/projects/sun-gdd-xvmoc/downloads , people are complaining about it since they are not able to download files from my project )it seems the redirector which kenai uses is not web proxy safe ... can you fix it somehow ? If needed I can give you a SWAN internal VNC with the problem reproduced, just ping me on my sun email thanks for quick fix Lubos |

Hi Ludos, This is a known issue and can't be fixed. Sun internal proxies have been discontinued for over two years now and should not be used. There have been multiple alerts sent by the Sun IT team over the last year about not using proxies any longer. Sorry for the trouble. --jb The Project Kenai Team |

OK, np, I don't use them myself, but it seems there are still a lot of people using old web proxies around ... What about folks outside which have old web proxies ? Can the message 500 be at least adjusted somehow to tell you to try out disabling your proxy ? Thanks (I kinda hope we have this documented if google crawls this forum ... ) Lubos |
