I use subversion as my version control system for my project. I see that I can only set which user group(s) will have read-only permissions and which group r/w access But I dont want that certain user will have writing permissions for whole project directory structure I.e. I wanna restrict that user Bill will have writing access only to the foo/bar directory I know this is possible if I had direct access to the subversion configuration files, but I guess kenai wont let me access it. So my question is: is it possible to restrict directory access per user? and how? |

Hi Techi, Sorry for the delayed response. No, we don't have the permissions or roles going down to the directory level. The way things were setup was with multiple repositories instead of trying to control directories in a single repository. The scenario being that if you have trunk source and you have web site content, for instance, you would put those in two different repositories instead of directories, and have people working out of the two different areas. Hope that helps explain what we had in mind with how things are currently done. The Project Kenai Team |
