On the Kenai Home page, I think it would be helpful if the Recent and Active message lists included the message's Project Name (in addition to the message age). Presently, I have to "mouse over" the message link and view the URL to determine if the message is from a forum of interest. If you want to maintain a visual balance with the neighboring list of Featured Projects, I would suggest adding the either the project's "last updated date" or "owner name" to the project list. Thanks for the idea Bruce, We're looking at the whole Forums area right now to try and work out a better way of showing "Project Kenai Site Forums" vs. all of the "Project Forums". It gets confusing to people pretty quickly. It's been an interesting usability issue for sometime now. --jb The Project Kenai Team |

I enjoy viewing both the Recent and Active forum message lists on the Kenai Home page. By monitoring these lists, I've been able to discover several interesting projects that I would have otherwise never known to exist. After making the initial discovery via this page, I simply bookmark the project and then monitor its activity in "My Page". This element of "discovery" is a feature that hope Project Kenai can embellish. Seeing just the three most recent messages is kind of limited. Maybe increasing the quantity of messages to five would be helpful -- at least for me anyway. ![]() I look forward to Project Kenai's evolution in 2010. -- Bruce |
