| Just got out of the Kenai BOF Wednesday night where JB and Sharat discussed the planned Hudson CI support in Kenai. One feature request I would oh so humbly ask for is to enable the Cargo Deployment plugin inside your Hudson CI server for Kenai. This will alow users to enter URLs and credentials to their remote J2EE servers to automatically deployment artifacts (WAR files) to their servers upon successful builds. I would think this would be exceptional valuable. |

Thanks again for tossing out some ideas Adam. The CI work is still being polished and requests like this really do help us get a feel for what the people that are going to use the feature, want the most. We'll look into what it will take to potentially support this Hudson plugin. --jb The Project Kenai Team |

Is there any update on hudson support? That would be a great feature and one of the reasons to use this site. I have nbandroid build configured on my home machine and obviously want to move it to site hosting. And hook it with SCM (do rebuild when new code is pushed - very infrequently). The next step is support for releases. Get the bits from build job and upload them into download area. As much automation as possible. This reminds me the fact that 'Downloads' support is very limited. There is no release management like at SF.net. Without releases it might be simpler to have FTP-like download server. |
