It is possible to use Subversion to set up a simple Maven repo on Kenai. Peter Mount explained the basic stuff a few months ago, with some script trickery, and I've just discovered that you can do everything from inside Maven. I've posted a full recap here:

This is not an approach officially supported by Kenai and I think that Kenai will sooner or later deliver an official Maven repo; but in the meantime, it's a workable solution.

Nice trick.

I've added a couple of comments on the article, but to make it visible here, although I've not written it up yet I have a method with using Nexus and Hudson which enables releases to the temporary svn repo work without adding additional plugins to the pom. When I get a spare moment I'll write that method up.

I've also commented about the problem with multiple repo's.

As for Kenai supporting maven, it would be interesting to know if there's a timescale on implementing support - although if their workloads as bad as mine at the moment it's probably not going to be soon. I'm not worried myself about how long it is as at least we have a couple of temporary methods available until it is - and for me it's working fine at the moment.

I can't give a specific date for the ability to host Maven repos., but I can say that it's weeks, not months.

Hope that helps.

It is great to have a Kenai repository only if it will be synchronize with the Central Maven Repository
