Hi,

I was recently added as a software developer to a project hosted on Kenai, but for some reason I can't log in to the chat. Whenever I try to open the chat from within Netbeans, it says the chat room isn't responding and trying to open it from the web browser, no chat rooms show up. I can log in to Kenai from Netbeans and I'm able to check out our code through the Kenai sub-menu, but still no chat. It works fine for other team members and nobody quite knows why I can't use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi shlcdr,

What project are you working on? Can you connect to the chat room from the Kenai.com UI? or from a standalone client?

We'll see what can be done from our end once we know the project name.

Thanks,

Oh, also, what version of NB are you using?

john,

Thanks for the response.

The project I'm in is http://kenai.com/projects/lems. I've tried joining the chat through Kenai.com, but it just shows up that there aren't any chat rooms available when I'm sitting across from one of my project members and they're in it with everyone else. Trying to join the chat from a standalone client, such as Pidgin, just returns a Forbidden error. Also, my NB version is 6.7.1.

Hmmm, not sure exactly what is going on.

I'll pass this over to engineering tomorrow and someone can take a look in the log files to see what's going on behind the scenes. We had an issue a while ago with camel case usernames, but that should have been cleaned up.

The logs will give us some more info tomorrow. Sorry for the troubles.

shlcdr,

You were not a member of the room for an unknown reason. I added you and you should now be able to access it.
