Why am I getting spam email addressed to [myusername]@kenai.com, it's coming from freerealms.com and wizard101.com and is getting forwarded to the address I have registered on this site. I have never visited the sites the spam is coming from and haven't done anything with my Kenai account since I registered it long ago.

My email address isn't visible to the public... are you selling your user's email addresses?

Hi Dale,

sorry for those emails Frown

First of, we don't sell your or anybody's email. But we have to maintain something like an alias from <username> (at) kenai.com to the registered address. That's needed for the different pieces of kenai to work together and also different projects use it to exchange emails between users.

We try to filter every message against spam & viruses. And we probably throw away 98+% of all incoming messages. But unfortunately, there is no magic bullet here and each new version of SpamAssassin needs new configurations to find the right balance.

	Thank you for the explanation Marco. I just received 8 emails in 2 days addressed to my username here and found it rather odd. Obviously the spam filtering is working quite will since that is the 1st I have received anything addressed from here. Thanks again.
