I tried to connect Mylyn to the JIRA repository but it didn't work.

If I use https://kenai.com/jira/ (the trailing slash is important) I get "login credentials invalid". Both if I enable and disable http athentication.

If I use http://kenai.com/jira/ I get "no JIRA repository found at the location". Both if I enable and disable http athentication.

I used my username (without the numeric id) as a username and my password for password.

Have other people had any success?

I hope it's not the self signed cert that causes trouble.

Hi Philippe,

We're looking into it. I've confirmed that it definitely does not work right now. A bug has been filed for it.

Hi Philippe,

We have fixed Mylyn login bug with last night's deployment (2/9/09). It is now possible to use Mylyn, the task management tool, with a project that uses JIRA for issue tracking on kenai.com. Simply use https://kenai.com/jira/ as the base URL for Mylyn. Note: the trailing slash is required and https is needed.

If you have any issues, please contact us via kenai-admin@sun.com. The release notes for 2/9 can be found at http://kenai.com/projects/help/pages/ReleaseNotes.

Thanks,
-Lea

The trailing slash is not required and is in fact removed by the Mylyn JIRA plugin, but the https is. You should be able to validate the connection with "https://kenai.com/jira". Let me know if you have problems with this feature and thanks for using Kenai.com.

Indeed, it works now. Thanks a lot.

At least validating and adding the repository to Mylyn also works for me now.
However, trying to build a query with Mylyn fails or takes forever (now waiting for a process called "Updating repository configuration" for at least 10 minutes or more ;-/)

Any suggestions on that?

I also had an issue with jira plugin in Netbeans

I used my Sun's credentials to login.

As appeared, I had to supply Kenai's username and Sun password in order to login. Somewhat confusing..
