Markdown shoud be the default

Markdown syntax is a lot nicer for forum posts. The help mentions that bullets and numbers aren't showing in lists, but the same bug afflicts BBC, and the Markdown syntax is way more friendly.

On the Settings tab of the Profile Editing section (click on Edit Profile on the left nav area when on MyPage), you can set your default Forum posting format. Each person can make their own choice for this one.

Thought to look for it there a moment ago, and found it. (Nicely done.!)

Came here to retract my comment, and found your post. Thanks for that.

I guess I would revise the original statement to say that Markdown should be the default in the profile, unless there are a plethora of people who are familiar with BBC markup. In that case, it makes to keep BBC as the default. But if it's anywhere close, Markdown is enough of an improvement that it deserves to be the default. :_)
