The installation instructions indicate Windows 2003 with 4 gig memory requirement. Is Vista or Windows 7 with 4 gig an acceptable alternative for development use?

What level of support exists for Linux now or within the next version?

Thanks

HIEOS is a light-weight application and does not require 4GB of memory. The Glassfish appserver functions rather well if you have atleast 2GB of memory. If you are deploying HIEOS along with CONNECT on the same box, then you would require 4GB of memory.

HIEOS has no native system dependencies and can run on any JVM. We have tested it on Windows 7 and Linux as well. You should be fine with either OS.

Please be aware that Windows 7 requires some software to run in XP Compatibility mode.

Regards

Anand
