Hey Brian,
Oh yeah, another thing - whlie playing with it, you'll probably find
bugs and things missing - don't forget to report those!
There is a recurrent problem I couldn't pin down just yet, but there
seems to be something funny when you interpolate many things in a
string. Sloppy coding when dealing with lists, sets and dicts will
probably lead to some interesting finds, as well (I guess Ola just
isn't as creative coming up with some failing tests as a drunk messing
in iik :)
Or could you maybe come up with a code coverage tool?
A mocking tool?
A synthesis clone?
A set of macros that makes Ioke understand the Graphviz language[1]?
A kick-ass vizualisation of the codebase?
Some way of safely running other stranger's code?
A cucumber-like test runner?
Couple of blog posts?

Cheers, and have fun!

I have nothing to add to Carlos' excellent suggestions. At the moment, that is. The above are all very interesting. Especially starting to think about how distribution and so on could be done would be lovely.
There are also lots of holes in the core libraries. As a typical example, you can't remove stuff from Lists... Regexps are mostly just one method (but I'm going to do an attack on regexps today or tomorrow).
Patches for useful core methods are really appreciated. To guide the thinking, look more towards the Ruby library then the Io library. If it's possible to implement without Java, that's great too.
I want to add a TextBuffer sooner or later so mutation of Texts can happen.
Thanks for the interest!
Cheers
