Instructions to checkout Projects

To checkout project code from Kenai repositories, follow one of the following methods.

Method 1. Using the Team Server menu from within NetBeans

This is the preferred way. NetBeans has built in support for project team servers such as Kenai. You need to have an account on Kenai to use Team Server. In the NetBeans IDE, click on the Team > Team Server menu. You will be prompted to login using your Kenai login information. Once you are logged to the team server, the window resembles the following illustration.
While Kenai has support for Subversion and Mercurial, the sample projects are hosted on Subversion repository. Click on Get link to checkout the subversion folders. An example of a checkout window is shown below.

Click on the browse button next to Folder To Get to browse the subversion root and checkout appropriate project folder into a local folder on your hard disk.

Netbeans will auto detect if there is any project and prompts to open.

Method 2. Using a Subversion/Mercurial Client

Use a Subversion clients such as TortoiseSVN or command line clients to checkout the project using the URLs given for each project.
