Here's an except of a recent email that expresses some stakeholder needs outside the US:

...has asked me to make a research about fuel characteristics (rare of moisture absorbtion/ release, fine-dead fuel water retain/ containment) and about related instruments that measure fuel moisture (if there are any) and rate of moisture release [my belief is that there must be a single formula for each kind of vegetation.

... is looking into obtaining a real-time digital map of ... (not like the google one) that could be introduced to the Behave plus programme. I am not sure if in the US you do use real-time terrain maps in digitised form.

The thing is, that the upcoming system must take into accound too many parameters, including.. cloudy conditions, wind temperature, sun-slope aspects/ time of the day, etc.
It is a very complicated task, but also very exciting!!!

Exciting indeed! In the elaboration phase of the CPS project, I will explore customizing the Web Map Service (WMS) servers and adding custom georeferenced imagery.

And complicated! The system is designed to leverage wind inputs and to compute the solar-preheating of fuel (moisture release).

Regarding the fuel characteristics, the initial phases this project leverage fuel models provided by the USGS LANDFIRE project. I'm planning for the eventual use of custom fuel models. How these are encoded/supplied is to be determined.
