Hi all, I just posted a similar question to the comp.graphics.api.opengl newsgroup, but I am wondering about the current state of OpenGL on Windows. How well-supported is it? I have read varying reports but haven't been able to find anything definitive. Specifically, I'm looking into the feasibility of porting Apache Pivot (http://pivot.apache.org) from Java2D to JOGL. I know OpenGL is supported on Linux and Mac OS X, but I am wondering what kind of support I can expect from Windows systems. Is OpenGL typically available, or do users need to track down and install drivers, etc.? Thanks very much for your help, Greg Brown |
