Thank you very much for the information. Actually, I am not using NX myself but have friends who does. I have to take a closer look to the errors that appears in my program when NX modified files are used. It could be (and according to your answer, probably are) errors in my own code that are the primary reason. However, I am not trying to handle any NX specific features but just read embedded thumbnails and conventional metadata. I return here if I find something worth to share.

David

Hi

I am trying to get my hands on the latest release of jrawio. There exists a
lot of old information about jrawio on the web which is a bit confusing. I
thought the latest information should be found at
http://jrawio.rawdarkroom.org/, but that site seem to be down (and have
been down for several days now).

Exactly, this is the latest. I've been trying (not 100% of the time, but ...) to move to a new server, but it seems I always have problems with the DNS change.
In any case, the sources are at http://bitbucket.org/tidalwave/jrawio-src

I am using the 1.6.1 version and have some issues with files modified in
Nikon Capture NX. I read in the email list that these problems probably are
known (and perhaps also fixed now). Is there a later version available? and
what could I expect about NX files.

I've not been using NX for a long time, so actually I don't recall. I know that there is support for reading the metadata used by NX, but as usual this is always done by reverse engineering and every version of NX adds something. I think that instead of asking what you can expect, you should try it :-) and eventually focusing on what you'd need, so we can try to understand what can be done.
