I use Fiddler on Windows - it does a lot of the same things as HTTP Client, however what's really useful is that it acts as a local proxy. So, as I use my browser to navigate around a website, I see all of the requests and responses. In this way I can debug ajax. Also, the user experience is much faster since I can go from page-to-page in the browser to seed the development tool with URLs.

Proxy mode for HTTP Client is my wish request.
