This thread is to discuss the next generation UI. Things that won't go into V1 but which will be V2 or later.
thoughts on visual editing: For certain blocks it would be useful for them to have a visual editor. For example, a perspective transform isn't useful without a way to visually move the warp controls around. We should have a generic shape which lets you edit the shape in an visual editor similar to illustrator (a very simplified version).
This dovetails nicely with another project I've been working on: a JavaFX based drawing program. I've got some code lying around that does basic drawing of standard shapes (rect, circle, text), bezier curve / path drawing, and proper multi-selection. It should be possible to package this up into a reusable embeddable editor that the blocks could customize to their needs.
