Hi,

I included the android platform as mentioned in this page:

http://wiki.netbeans.org/IntroAndroidDevNetBeans#section-IntroAndroidDevNetBeans-CreatingANewAndroidProject

only difference is : once point to the SDK i am getting 3 options Android 1.1, Android 1.5 and Android + Google Maps API.

I have added 3 of them as 3 different platform, and created a new project for the android platform 1.5

while running this project instead opening the emulator, select device screen is opening with two radio button option i) select running device ii) start AVD. Both of them doesn,t have any device list on it. And OK button on that screen has always disabled. i able to do only cancel.

I am using Netbeans 6.7, Windows XP service pack 3

Hello,

i think you need manually create avd. Go in console to <SDK Path>/tools and type "android create avd -n <name> -t <target>".

Hello,

I am new in android. I have the same problem as you have encountered.... netbeans says, select device while I was trying to compile.

I saw you have used this,

Hello,

i think you need manually create avd. Go in console to <SDK Path>/tools and type "android create avd -n <name> -t <target>".

it is unclear to me, <sdk path is ok> but.. what is <target> ?

Can you please send me an example?

Thanks

could you please explain this in more detail.

- I do not know what you mean when you say 'console'
- I do not know where I type ( you suggested to 'type stuff' )
- what name?
- what target?

I'm sorry but this is all very new to me.

thanks for your patience,

Hi Arkumik,

Hi all,
i am facing the same problem..

i have done as suggested by robofan....i am working in ubuntu as OS and using Netbeans 6.7.1

root@amitbugs-laptop:~/MYFOLDER/android-sdk-linux_x86-1.5_r1/tools# ./android create avd -n Amit_Phone -t 2

root@amitbugs-laptop:~/MYFOLDER/android-sdk-linux_x86-1.5_r1/tools# ./android list avd
Available Android Virtual Devices:
Name: Amit_Phone
Path: /root/.android/avd/Amit_Phone.avd
Target: Android 1.5 (API level 3)
Skin: HVGA

but still it could not find the AVD while running android application..and showing the dialog box having, two radio button to select AVD device..but there is nothing to select...

Any idea..??
