There are few ways how to ask for help if you're in troubles.

• there is a message forum: use it for general question about features, ideas. People can reply there (often with some delay). Keep in mind that it is not a good place to track bug fixing progress.
• JIRA bug tracking database: use it for bugs or specific ideas. When filing a bug report please attach complete IDE log file to the bug ( http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqLogMessagesFile ). Problems related to application building and execution are easier to analyze if you turn on verbose output from Ant and attach it to the bug - you can adjust the verbosity level of Ant if you go to Tools | Options and then to Misc panel and its Ant tab. Here you just choose Verbose mode.
• users (or developers) mailing lists are currently very low traffic though you can get some feedback there.
