Good afternoon...

I've installed NB 6.7.1 Java SE version and this plug-in (Server, Config Editor, Deployment, Hints, and Samples) but I can't create a new project from the sample! Google App Engine 1.2.6 is installed and the App Engine server is configured in NetBeans.

The project directory is created ...My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Guestbook and it contains a variety of sub-directories and files but NetBeans still says <No Project Open> in the project tab.

If I try to open the resulting project, in the Open Project dialog under Project Name: it says <unrecognized project; missing plug-in?>.

Should I have installed the full-blown Java version of NetBeans? What are the missing or required plug-ins to use this plug-in (or to upgrade my installation)?

I assume this is an issue with my installed plug-ins or configuration.

Thanks,

You need the web component (Java Web & EE in the installer).

However if you want to keep the bloat minimum, there is no need to install server (Tomcat or Glassfish). Since Google Appengine is the server. Or at least that is what I did.

Cheers!
