problem when deploy to app engine

I am using GAE plugin on NB6.8. I need to deploy my app through a proxy to google app engine. I have already setup my NB6.8 with correct proxy host and port but still I got connection timeout when deploying. Same host and port works well when deploy from Eclipse. So I need help on:

1. Does the plugin has its own proxy setting instead of using the NB one?
2. Where in the NB/plugin should I set up my google id and password? It didn't prompt me when I deploy.

Please help.
