At this point we don't have any instructions because using OpenEMPI is not trivial yet. To access its full functionality you would have to integrate it into your complete health data exchange solution using the API. In this release we started working on a web-based user interface which eventually will provide another means to access the full functionality of the underlying project. Odysseas |

| hi, I'm a database newbie--a diagnostic radiologist with interest in electronic medical records but not a whole lot of computer expertise. i installed openempi per instructions onto my mac book pro and was able to create the database and run the sql instructions to create the correct tables (I think). i copies the .war file into my existing jboss implementation DICOM archive: dcm4chee. I was then able to reach the openempi web page at localhost:8080/openempi-admin. But now I don't know what to do. I tried to upload the sample patient data but nothing happened. Thoughts? Thanks. |

How does your sample patient data look like? You can play with the included Febrl datasets. AFAIK if the structure of your data is different than that, then you probably have to write your own loader. Take a look at org.openhie.openempi.loader.NominalSetFileLoader.getPerson, this is used with the Febrl data, you might have different fields and field orders. |
