Currently Proposed Architecture

The current website at http://openworlddatabase.org is written using Ruby on Rails and will serve as the the front end to the tools built by the community.

The core of the system will be written in Java, currently the items below are some proposed technologies that will be combined together to create the OpenWorldDB core system.

  • Spring
  • Hibernate will be the ORM
  • Lucene will be integrated for indexing and search
  • Mysql
  • Glassfish
  • Jruby
  • Rails
  • Nblogo
