Hi! I created a project in Perforce by copying it from our old source control system and checking it into Perforce using P4V. After I open the project in NB 6.9, the context menu item for "Manage by Perforce" is grayed out. I set up a connection, during which PerforceNB was able to find my workspaces. Is there something else I need to do? I'm using PerforceNB 1.0.5.1 and NB 6.9 (the project is also from NB 6.9). Thanks! Dave |

Hi Dave, Sorry for the delay. I think I know why happens this. Is your project under a perforce root folder or not? If not, than this is why it happens. To simplify things I considered in PerforceNB plugin that all sources should stay under the project root folder. Of course, that is not always the case, as it may happens also to you. If that is the case for you also, that for a quick setup you will have to create your projects under Perforce client root and use ignore rules to ignore project artifacts. I understood from others also that this project layout (having project artifacts in a place and mounted sources in other places) is not an exceptional layout as I initially supposed. I need to put some work to change that fact. I have in plan to fix and I hope will happen soon. Thanks, Aurelian |
