GreEd has now been completely separated from Protean. Now there are no dependencies. Currently the application loads a sample RulesContext (which is a substitute for a KC).

This will allow GreEd to develop independently of Protean and can be considered for use in non-Proteus settings also.

You can checkout from https://svn.kenai.com/svn/pip~pipSVN from the greed/trunk folder

A few things remain to be done including:

  • code cleanup (I have taken many shortcuts to quickly separate GreEd from Protean), renaming of RulesContext class to RulesDataSet. This because the name RuleContext could be confusing
  • Creating a database to store RuleContexts (do we really need to store RuleContexts?)
  • Removal of action inferencing related features since we do not need them in a non-Proteus world, removal of unneeded images.
  • Many images will have to be removed because they are not being used now.
  • From Protean/Proteus perspective, this new version of GreEd will have to be reintegrated into Protean.
