QukIS Wiki

QukIs is a platform independent (Java .. ;) ) desktop search application started by a few good men (2 actually) at Birla Institute of Technology and Science - Pilani, Goa Campus. It uses Apache Lucene in the backend and also uses Apache Tika for parsing information from files of various formats. It is still in its beta stage, but developers can go ahead and try it.
