Hello,

I am very much interested in using the Download component.

I wanted to check it out with the demo war file, which I deployed on GlassFish 2.

Although most demonstrations in the application work fine, clicking on the "Download demo" link yields an error page containing the following message:

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /demos/download.xhtml(35,20) PWC6131: Attribute text invalid for tag download according to TLD

Any suggestions?

Many thanks,

Toon Claeys

Wow. March 19. Sorry about the REALLY late response. I don't get notified of forum postings, so I have to remember to check the site periodically.

At any rate, I don't typically test the JSP demos very much. If the Facelets demos work, I'm generally satisfied, which is, of course, not a very good approach. Smile In the last few weeks, I've started using FacesTester to test all of the components, so regressions shouldn't happen. That, of course, doesn't fix the demo, but it helps some.

The culprit here is that, apparently, the component interfaces was changed a bit and the demo wasn't updated, which is bad. However, given the general disregard for JSP in the JSF community as whole (given Facelets' dominance and its inclusion in the newly finalized JSF 2 spec), I dropped JSP support altogether, so the only thing Scales now supports is Facelets (or something that can use the Facelets config files, like JSFTemplating). That being so, it's not likely the demo will be fixed, as it's no longer in the code base. The component should still work, though, if you grab the latest JSP-enabled release, which is 1.2, iirc.
