I'm using Tim's Wizard API and Simple Validation (older version) in my project. Both work reasonably well. But there is one problem. Both validate GUIs, but the error/warning messages don't look the same. The Wizard simply shows blue text, whereas Simple Validation shows a nice icon and red/blue text.

Maybe I just have an old version of the Wizard API? Because the Wizards in Netbeans have the desired features. Is there a way to use Simple Validation in wizards? Or where can I find the code for the Netbeans Wizards (which seems to use Simple Validation)?

The JDK_5 branch of Wizard actually does incorporate SimpleValidation, and I hope to integrate that sometime soon - just buried under work on the Java Card modules for NetBeans right now, which are nearing release.

There were some folks who got scared by the "NetBeans dependencies" that this drags in (actually it doesn't - there are stub classes - the NetBeans ones will be used by reflection if present).

But this is definitely in the long-term plan.
