Validation of custom component does not work (Trunk / ColorChooser validation)

Hi all,

The validation of a custom component does not seem to be working in trunk.

If I trace it via the debugger I can see the validator being called, but the problem does not get set in the ValidationUI and neither does the decorator get set on the component. This holds true for the ColorChooser validator in the ValidationDemo project as well as one I have put together myself to validate a JList.

Any ideas on fixing this or working around the issue?
