I'm playing around with a simple example of a tabbed pane which has a validation group with 2 tabs added that implement ValidationGroupProvider. I get the VG from the first tab and add it to the parent VG on construction as it will be the default visible tab. I added a changelistener to the tabbedpane's model so when the user changes tabs, it removes the previously visible tab's VG from the parent and adds the currently visible tab's VG to the parent. Basically, I'm trying to make it only validate the visible tab and ignore the rest. I stepped through with the debugger and it seems that only one of the children VGs is in the parent at any one time, but the error message on the dialog will stick around for the non-visible (and it's VG is not present) panel. Is there a way around this?

I'm having the same problem. I have a bigger panel that contains two smaller panels that have a validation group each. I will only have one smaller panel visible, and remove the validation group from the other panel.

The small warning symbols that appear when there is incorrect input will not disappear when the panel below disappears.

Was there any solution to this?
