I have been digging all morning, but I cannot seem to find a way to disable the findbugs scans on Netbeans startup. I typically have 7 or so interconnected projects open and the scans run on every startup even if nothing has changed since last scan. So it can become rather annoying to wait a few minutes for the CPU to chill out and I can get back to work.

Am I missing something? Unchecking the Find Bugs box on Quality Controls, as well as taking snapshots seems to have no effect.

Thanks for any insight!

As far as I know there is no option to disable the editor hint scanning. Scanning for the Task List window should only occur if that window is visible.

You can always disable the FindBugs plugin in Plugin Manager until you really want to use it.
