Software Quality Environment

SQE attempts to provide first-class NetBeans IDE integration for different software quality tools.

Getting SQE

Under Plugin Manager, add the following update center:

http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/sqe/lastStableBuild/artifact/build/full-sqe-updatecenter/updates.xml

This gives you development builds of SQE compatible with NetBeans 6.7 and later.

Currently supported tools:

• FindBugs
• PMD
• CheckStyle
• Dependency Finder

IDE integration features:

• Per-project configuration of tools using custom project customizer panels
• Scan on save / compile
• Editor hints / quick fixes
• Supported project types:
  • Java SE
  • Free-form ("...with existing Ant script")
  • Java EE web
  • Maven
