Sure, they are both optional parameters on the KeyFrame.create method.
ie KeyFrame.create (0.7f, 1f, Interpolators.getLinearInstance(), new
MyUberCoolEvaluator()); You can have one, or the other, or both. The
case where you only set the interpolator in the keyframe is the most
common one in my opinion.

Actually, i've dug a little further and it was an eclipse problem and
had nothing to do with trident. Some files compiled by eclipse got
mixed in the ant jar building, and eclipse generates bytecode for files
with errors (swt missing in this case), those classes throw exceptions
and kill the vm. So, false alarm, sorry about that.
